(February 10, 2022 - Shanghai) AirPlus has appointed Roger Liu as the new Managing Director and Country Manager of AirPlus China, effective February 7, 2022. He will report directly to David Newington, Commercial Director of AirPlus APAC and the Chairman of the Board of Directors, AirPlus China.
刘洋先生拥有20余年国际支付行业的丰富经验，从伦敦大学玛丽王后学院取得电子工程硕士学位后，他先后在中国、中东和北非地区参与创建了3家顶级支付公司。在加入嘉惠前，刘洋是OPay支付公司在迪拜的副总裁，并成功带动了业务增长。之前，他还曾经担任过中国银联和平安集团的高级管理岗位，包括成功领导团队开发平安电子钱包等。
With 20-years of experience in international payment markets, Roger Liu, who holds a Master of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London, has built up 3 top payment companies in China and MENA. Prior to joining AirPlus, Roger’s most recent role has been with payment company OPay in Dubai where he successfully drove the growth of the business. His history includes roles with China Union Pay and Pingan, including leading teams in the development of Pingan’s mobile payment wallet.
