AirPlus will continue to invest in a better corporate payment experience

In a recent interview with TravMagazine, our country Manager Melvin van Wingerden, had a chat  to discuss the new brand identity that reflects the digitization of our products and future plans to focus on key areas such as customer experience, IT integration, data and solutions, and our partner network. 

 

‘We want to differentiate ourselves by offering total transparency, world-class data and seamless integration, so that our customers can focus on what matters to them,’ says van Wingerden 

How did the past year go?

‘2023 was marked by a number of important milestones for AirPlus. The year started with a strong commitment to our core values ​​and strategic objectives, while making significant progress in several aspects of the corporate payment industry. We continued to invest in the relationship with our customers, sustainability, our new IT infrastructure, and our data offering to guarantee ease of payment.

What’s on the agenda for 2024?

‘Exciting times are ahead as we complete the migration to our new state-of-the-art IT infrastructure in 2024 and expand our product offering in certain key markets such as the Nordic region. Also, the sale of AirPlus from Lufthansa Group to SEB Kort Bank AB is expected to be completed in the first half of 2024, subject to relevant external approvals, mainly from various financial regulators.’

What’s new?

‘Our extensive and growing partner network helps us optimize the corporate payment experience. In 2023, we will have Melvin1 invested heavily in the relationship with our partner network, both in business travel and procure-to-pay.'

'In addition, the AirPlus Intelligence Hub is now available as an additional free service to all AirPlus Corporate Card and AirPlus Virtual Card customers worldwide. A brand-new tool that allows our customers to analyze and manage their spend and make data-driven decisions.’

'And following the trend of consumerization and the way it is transforming business travel overall, we are thrilled that our Corporate Card users can now pay for their business travel expenses easily and securely by using Apple Pay and Google Pay, whether they are in hotels, restaurants or taxis.’
