Info Hub: Cross-border merger between AirPlus International and SEB Kort  

The cross-border merger has been completed on 3 August 2026.

Apart from the transfer of the agreement to SEB Kort Bank AB, no changes will be made to the existing agreements. Since 3 August 2026, SEB Kort assumed full legal responsibility for its performance. There is no need to sign any additional document or amendment to the current agreement.  

The legal entity is SEB Kort Bank AB, which is the contracting party for all agreements. Products licensed in Germany and offered locally or on a cross-border basis are issued by the German branch, SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB.

AirPlus International GmbH has been merged into SEB Kort Bank AB and subsequently dissolved. Its former subsidiaries are now direct subsidiaries of SEB Kort Bank AB. They will continue to exist as separate legal entities, just as they were in relation to AirPlus International GmbH, with their current name and registration number.  

Here's an overview of the AirPlus subsidiaries:

SEB Kort will create branches in the jurisdictions where AirPlus International GmbH currently has branches.

As from the merger date, your contracting party will be SEB Kort Bank AB.

Except for countries with subsidiaries (Switzerland, Italy, the UK, and USA incl. Canada), your payment products are issued by the German branch: SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB.

All other branches are only relevant for our suppliers, who will send their offers and invoices to the local branch they are servicing.

There are no changes to the company names of the AirPlus International subsidiaries in Italy, Switzerland, the UK, and the U.S.. They will keep their current names and registration numbers.

In all other countries where SEB Kort Bank AB does not have a subsidiary, the contracting party is SEB Kort Bank AB, and your payment products are issued by the German branch: SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB.

The bank accounts held by AirPlus International are changed to the new company name. The beneficiary is SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB (or short: SEB Kort Germany).

The account numbers stays the same and SEPA Core Direct Debit mandates remain active.

However, the creditor ID* has changed. Customers have to inform their bank about the change of the creditor ID to avoid any rejections of SEPA B2B Direct Debits by their bank.

The new creditor ID is SE24ZZZ5565746624.

Starting August 3rd, we will include a change notification for your bank with every first direct debit.

* The creditor ID is a unique identifier that confirms SEB Kort Germany is an authorized SEPA creditor. It allows the customer’s bank to recognize the legitimate party permitted to collect payments from the customer’s bank account via SEPA direct debit. The creditor ID is electronically shared between SEB Kort Germany and the customer’s bank and is also included in the SEPA mandate signed by the customer.

A creditor ID is a unique value which identifies SEB Kort Germany as the entitled and authorized (SEPA) creditor.

The creditor ID allows the customer’s bank to recognize the legitimate party permitted to collect payments from the customer’s bank account via SEPA direct debit. The creditor ID is electronically shared between SEB Kort Germany and the customer’s bank and is also included in the SEPA mandate signed by the customer.

Yes, your contract has been transferred to the new legal entity, SEB Kort Bank AB, as is. All terms and conditions will remain valid and unchanged.

No, you do not need to update or change your card anywhere. Your current corporate card, including card number, CVV, and expiry date, will remain the same.

No, there are no changes planned to your current credit line or liability model. This will remain as is following the merger.

 The legal issuer of your corporate card will be the legal successor of the current issuer, meaning the legal entities and subsidiaries after the legal merger. For customers of AirPlus International GmbH, SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB has become the contractual issuer. 

From 3 August, all data included on the invoices will reflect the new legal setup. This means that the invoice will be issued by SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB. 
When you make a payment, please ensure that you address the payment to SEB Kort Germany.

If you settle your AirPlus Corporate Card statements (Type 2 or Type 3 cards), your SEPA Direct Debit mandate will remain valid. 

Starting August 3rd, we will include a change notification for your bank with every first direct debit.

The change of the creditor ID only impacts SEPA B2B direct debits, which are set up between two companies rather than with private individuals.

If your company settles your corporate card statements (Type 1 card), they will inform their bank about the changes as necessary. There is no to-do for you as a card holder.

If you don't have a SEPA direct debit mandate and you settle your invoices for your AirPlus Corporate Card manually, you will need to update the beneficiary name to the new company, SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB, as of 3 August when making or authorizing payments to us.

The issuer name is generally not included in any authorization message. However, if the merchant accesses the official Mastercard issuer lookup service, they will see the changes.

No, there are no interruptions foreseen. You corporate card will continue to work with your current card number and PIN.

Unless you are a customer based in Switzerland, Italy, the UK, or the US (including Canada), you will have to update your supplier database using the information of SEB Kort Germany.

All other data (such as company address, bank account numbers, IBANs, etc.) remain the same.

This applies to all countries except for Switzerland, Italy, the UK, or the US (including Canada) where SEB Kort Bank AB has subsidiaries. In these countries, nothing changes.

Existing SEPA direct debit mandates will remain valid after the merger. SEB Kort Bank AB is the legal successor of AirPlus International GmbH, which includes all contacts as well as the mandates.

However, the creditor ID* has changed.

If you have an existing SEPA B2B direct debit mandate, you must inform your bank about the change of the creditor ID to avoid any rejections of the direct debits. This needs to be done on 3 August 2026 as doing so prior to this may cause disruption to your payments.  

Please note that this does not affect existing SEPA Core direct debits.

Although your SEPA Direct Debit mandate will remain valid after the merger, some banks may ask you for an official document confirming SEB Kort Bank AB as the legal successor of AirPlus International GmbH.

No, there will be no changes to the product offering as a result of the legal merger. 

No, your AirPlus Corporate Cards for your cardholders will remain valid and there will be no changes to the card numbers or PIN. Upon the regular card renewal after the expiration date, the AirPlus Corporate Cards will reflect the new issuer name.

Yes, you will continue to receive your invoices via the AirPlus Portal. The process will remain unchanged. 

The formatting of e-billing, data feeds, and reportings will not change. However, there have been changes to the company details, such as our new company name.

In some eBilling and XRechnung formats, the VAT ID is shown. This was automatically updated following the merger.

Please review your receiving systems and update any mappings and validations that reference the current payee name or VAT ID. Making these changes before the effective date will help ensure uninterrupted invoice processing. 

The new company name is now being included in e-billing and TEM files following the merger on 3 August 2026.

Please note that when you initiate a reproduction of an older statement (before August 3), you will find the old company name and VAT-ID on that statement as it was originally issued before the date of our legal merger. This will not delay or hinder payments. You can settle the statement using our new company name.

After the company merger, you will receive invoices from the German branch. The invoices include a German VAT ID number and show input tax (VAT).

If you have an AirPlus payment product, this will still be serviced from Germany via the Germany branch. Your service contact will remain as is.

The product offering, including its availability, will remain unchanged following the legal merger.

Except for countries with subsidiaries (Switzerland, Italy, the UK, and USA & Canada), your payment products will be issued by the German branch: SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB.

From 3 August onwards, please ensure that all payments are addressed to the new branch in Germany: SEB Kort Germany, Branch of SEB Kort Bank AB.

There is no legal requirement to update documents issued before 3 August 2026, they remain legally valid, even if they contain AirPlus International GmbH.

However, any documents issued after 3 August 2026 should contain SEB Kort Bank AB instead of AirPlus International GmbH. The legal name of each subsidiary (in Italy, the UK, US, and Switzerland) will not change. 

Vendor tool letters are now available. Bank confirmations will be requested following the name change and will be made available as soon as our banks have completed the name change in their systems. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm the date as this is dependent on the banks.

If you create a new vendor ID for our new entity, you can request to receive updated AP files that reflect this and other corresponding changes by reaching out to timde@airplus.com with the details. Please note that this information will not be updated automatically.

There is no grace period for accepting invoices issued under the old company name.

With the merger now completed, all invoices must be addressed to the new company name and include the updated VAT ID.

If this is not the case, a corrected invoice will be required, which may result in delays in payment.

The supplier agreements with AirPlus International in the UK, US, Switzerland, and Italy remain unchanged.  

The new branch names will be confirmed once approved by the respective authorities.
